EHDC Parking Enforcement
- nick (10th Jul 2012 - 13:22:52)

I note from an article under Local News (Liphook Community site April 2 2012) that the EHDC have taken over parking enforcement with effect April 16 2012.

Having read it i still cant quite understand the remit
Has any body in LIphook read it and understand it?

Strangely just had this note come in.

Traffic and road safety will be top of the agenda at the next Community Forum to be held in East Hampshire.

The meeting, to be held at Grayshott Primary School, will discuss parking, speeding and road works.

PC Emily Robins will talk about Speed Watch, a new campaign to combat speeding traffic, Michelle Green, EHDC’s Parking and Traffic Management Team Leader, will talk about the new shared parking service with Havant Borough Council and Hampshire County Council will be on hand to debate highway quality.

Cllr Ferris Cowper said: “Road safety is a vital issue in this area. There are a number of accident black spots, including Headley Road, where speeding traffic is a regular and dangerous problem.

“I would urge residents from Grayshott, Bramshott and Liphook, Whitehill and Bordon and the surrounding villages to come to the Community Forums and air their views on these important topics in a friendly and informal environment.”

The agenda will also include a discussion on the use of developer contributions in Bramshott and Liphook and in Lindford.

The Community Forum for Whitehill, Bordon, Liphook, Headley, Lindford and Greatham will be held on Tuesday 17 July at 6.30pm at Grayshott CE Primary School, School Road, GU26 6LR.

East Hampshire District Council’s Community Forums feature a cross-section of town, district and county councillors, as well as representatives from local groups, focussed on tackling tough local problems.

So, if you would like further enlightenment about EHDC parking, then pop along and speak to Michelle Green.
