Kelway Law
- Quin (23rd Aug 2012 14:42:26)
I have been considering using Kelway law’s letting firm in the Liphook area but to date I have only been able to find some extremely bad reviews online for this company.
I am especially interested in receiving reviews from current / former tenants but also the general public who have had dealings with Kelway Law in the past.

We tried to buy a house through them and asked then to keep us updated if it had an offer, as mine was waiting for an offer, told them we really liked it, that we really wanted it. Got an offer on mine, phoned them and they had already accepted an offer the day before. We offered the full asking price, they said they would let the vendor know, I don't think they did. As they said the vendor said no. We were offering £15,000 more! But were in a chain. Personally I would be willing to wait. Found out that they only exchanged 2 weeks before us in the end.
They were also really rude on the phone. Found Keats and Hamptons to be good.

Godsent!
I was looking for the opportunity:
Keep away from them, don't deal with them.
It may be just because I was merely hunting for a flat to rent (rather than selling a house), their attitude was very off-hand and practice most unprofessional in every aspect.
I can only assume other agencies aren't so different.
Best if we make use of websites like this liphook.co.uk and leave the agents alone.

Do all that you can to avoid this company. My family and I had a very distressing first hand experience in dealing with them and they are a surly, unhelpful and unprofessional bunch. There are other agents in and around the village who act in a far more professional way as we eventually discovered. Try Keats for lettings or Hamptons or Haart Grayshott

I had a house on the market with them and brought a house through them in the past and would try and avoid doing either ever again. Dreadful experience, from accepting the wrong offer to letting themselves in to my house without prior arrangement, the list of complaints is as long as my arm, and I have long arms!
They are unprofessional, rude and in my opinion rubbish at what they do.
I then sold through Hamptons and found it a much more pleasant and easy transaction.

We used them once to sell a house, asked they call every time they show someone round. Twice they let themselves in and once while still in bed.
Stay away

I would go to Keats every time. We bought and sold through them earlier this year and they were excellent. First class service from Tom and his team in Liphook.
Kelway Law valued my house several years ago and I found them very unprofessional and I would never set foot in their office again.

We currently rent from them, but glad that the contract is almost over, never have I come across such a useless organisation. They are so badly organised and not one of them seem to be able to complete any task no matter how simple it is. The staff are rude unprofessional & I personally have a feeling that none of them are qualified. They simply ignore any issue that are raised and if you call them, they are always too busy to take the call, promising a call back which never happens. Any repairs which they have to carry out by law are simply not done & the property we rent doesn’t even meet building regulations, but they believe they are above the law. Ian their resident maintenance man has never carried out any repairs and simply refused to even come and look at issues. He once stated that the repairs were in hand and had been measured up but nearly 9 months later there still not done. According to their website, he is new to the industry, According to their website, Kristina is a trainee lettings negotiator who liaises with tenants and landlords, yet she never manages to actually respond to any issues or questions other than saying “I will look into that and get back to you” she never does. Also according to their website she isn’t qualified and isn’t even doing a degree in estate management or similar. They have let them selves into our place without giving any notice. We have had so many issues with them and their property that we are glad to be moving and to be honest, we never intend to return to Liphook as Kelway Law has tainted our view of what should have been a nice place to live. As others have said do all that you can to avoid this company they are unhelpful and unprofessional

We've rented from them for the past 5+ years and have found them to be much the same as other agencies we've rented from in the past. I've never rented from an agency I'd class as brilliant but I have rented from and dealt with worse!

I had a bad experience related to their inability to communicate a very simple conditional offer. They confirmed it had been accepted to find out way down the line (when solicitors were doing the "inventory" of what was included) that no conditions had been communicated. Basic stuff.
To be fair it is a long time ago and i'm sure it was a one off. I suspect they took my written feedback and were so busy acting upon it and making improvements that they couldn't find time to reply. So it is well worth checking on line for recent reviews as I'm sure customer focused companies strive to improve.
