Plans Thrown Out
Controversial plans to build 19 homes on a delightful little oasis in Longmoor Road, Liphook have been thrown out by the East Hampshire District Council.
Strathmoor Development's outline application, to demolish two homes and replace them with 19, was discussed at a meeting of the south planning committee.
The site is on the north side of Longmoor Road, to the rear of numbers 94 to 102 and inbetween Forest Lane Close and Chalcraft Close.
The proposal has been the subject of strong opposition in the village with 22 letters of objection.
Councillor Ken Graham proposed deferring the decision to wait for a drainage report, but instead the committee refused the application.
