School Traffic Chaos
Action could soon be taken to tackle school run traffic chaos in Liphook.
A new report giving suggestions to reduce the traffic around Liphook Junior and Liphook Infants School has recently been completed by East Hampshire District Council's transport development officer, Gwil Williams.
Measures such a introducing a new shuttle bus service for the schools, installing a new pedestrian crossing and encouraging parents to walk their children to and from school are among the suggestions.
Mr Williams has been working with the schools since last June to come up with potential solutions.
Liphook and Bramshott Parish Council and local residents have also been involved in producing the plan.
One of the other suggestions is a "Walking Bus" where volunteers would collect children from their homes and walk them in a big group to the school. Mr Williams said this idea has been meet with approval by many of the parents.
Liphook and Bramshott parish council have been concerned about the congestion around the schools for some time.
